Age Range: Boys and Girls Ages 11-17
Typical Students: Students with attention focusing and sequencing difficulties (more often known as ADD or ADHD)
Typical Stay: 12 months
Program Philosophy: Cedars presents a process-oriented method which places the same degree of responsibility on the teacher to develop successful teaching style as it places on the student to develop a successful learning style. The student who attends the Cedars Academy tends to encounter difficulties in the classroom with peers, and among family members. These difficulties arise because our students perceive information differently from others, and tend not to select the relevant details when processing information.
