COPPER CANYON ACADEMY FOR GIRLS IN RIMROCK ARIZONA
Location: Rimrock, in the Verde Valley of central Arizona
Age Range: Girls ages 13-17 (high school)
Typical Students: Girls who might be exhibiting problems at school or at home such as drug and alcohol Use, depression, anger, low self-esteem, lying, cheating, running away, manipulation, and other high risk behaviors.
Typical Stay: 12 months
Copper Canyon Academy has a fully accredited academic program and school-sponsored extra-curricular activies and off-campus trips that promote further academic and personal growth. Copper Canyon Academy offers a traditonal therapeutic program with licensed therapists in additon to equestrian therapy. Equine Assisted Therapy, or Animal Assisted Therapy, is a program that works especially well with younger students, students who do not respond to traditional �talk therapy� and to students with attachment/bonding issues or who are oppositional and resistant.
